Equine Science Center Presents Spring Webinar Series
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (February 22, 2010) – The Rutgers Equine Science Center is
proud to announce the topics, dates and times of its spring 2010 webinar
series. By implementing online learning opportunities, the Center aims to
promote equine science education and advance its mission of better horse
care through research and education field. The first
spring webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, March 9 at 7:00 pm. The Equine
Science Center’s Dr. Sarah Ralston will present “Making Sense out of
‘Metabolic Syndrome’”. Dr. Michael Sukhdeo, from the Rutgers School of
Environmental and Biological Sciences’ Department of Ecology, Evolution
and Natural Resources, will present the second webinar, “Equine
Parasites”, on Tuesday, March 23 at 7:00 pm. “Our fall 2009
webinar series was a tremendous success,” said Karyn Malinowski, director
of the Equine Science Center. “The majority of feedback we received from
participants was for additional dates and suggestions for future topics.” By definition,
a webinar is a seminar, presentation, and/or lecture transmitted over the
internet. Webinars are designed to be interactive with the ability to
give, receive, and discuss information. The webinar series is open to the
public and registration is simple. Best of all, there is no fee to
participate. To Participate: For more information about the webinar series
or the Equine Science Center, please call 732-932-9419 or visit www.esc.rutgers.edu.
