Rutgers Equine Science Center Announces
Spring Webinar Series

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (March 2, 2011) –  “Care and Management of the Older Horse” is the over-arching theme of the upcoming Spring Webinar Series hosted by the Rutgers Equine Science Center and Rutgers Cooperative Extension. Dr. Carey Williams, Extension Equine Specialist and Associate Director of the Equine Science Center assembled two presenters recognized as equine industry experts in their field to offer professional insight and perspectives. The spring series lecturers are Dr. Michael Fugaro, Associate Professor at Centenary College and owner of Mountain Pointe Veterinary Services presenting “Orthopedic Problems in the Old Horse” on March 15th and Dr. Karyn Malinowski, Director of the Rutgers Equine Science Center, presenting “Overview of Older Horse Physiology” on March 22nd. Both webinars begin at 7:00 pm EST and conclude at 8:00 pm.

“The spring webinar series, focusing on the care and management of the older horse, will be a live interactive webcast that owners of older horses will not want to miss. The webinar provides participants with the convenience to interact with experts and have their questions answered while in the comfort of their own home” said Williams. “Our goal in presenting this series is to provide unbiased scientific information that will be beneficial to older horses and their owners.”
