Rutgers Equine Science Center Announces
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (March 2, 2011) – “Care and Management of the Older
Horse” is the over-arching theme of the upcoming Spring Webinar Series
hosted by the Rutgers Equine Science Center and Rutgers Cooperative
Extension. Dr. Carey Williams, Extension Equine Specialist and Associate
Director of the Equine Science Center assembled two presenters recognized as
equine industry experts in their field to offer professional insight and
perspectives. The spring series lecturers are Dr. Michael Fugaro, Associate
Professor at Centenary College and owner of Mountain Pointe Veterinary
Services presenting “Orthopedic Problems in the Old Horse” on March 15th and
Dr. Karyn Malinowski, Director of the Rutgers Equine Science Center,
presenting “Overview of Older Horse Physiology” on March 22nd. Both webinars
begin at 7:00 pm EST and conclude at 8:00 pm. “The spring
webinar series, focusing on the care and management of the older horse,
will be a live interactive webcast that owners of older horses will not
want to miss. The webinar provides participants with the convenience to
interact with experts and have their questions answered while in the
comfort of their own home” said Williams. “Our goal in presenting this
series is to provide unbiased scientific information that will be
