Rutgers Equine Science Center Hosts
Workshop at Demonstration Horse Farm

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (September 15, 2011) – On September 29, 2011, the Rutgers Equine Science Center will host a “twilight meeting” for horse farm owners at the Best Management Practice (BMP) Demonstration Horse Farm on the George H. Cook Campus.

This farm has recently installed several BMPs to improve environmental health around the farm. The meeting will include discussions on how to improve water quality, manure management ideas, and pasture/grazing advice as you tour the Demonstration Horse Farm. Attendees will gain the knowledge they need to make their horse farms more environmentally friendly, plus learn how to get the most nutrition out of their pastures.

The meeting is free of charge and will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with light refreshments provided. Registration is required by contacting Laura Gladney at gladney@aesop.rutgers.edu or (732) 932-3229. After registering, you will receive directions to the farm.
